Every year it's the same question: what do you buy for someone who lives and breathes for their team? The good news is that football fans are some of the easiest people to buy for, as long as you know two things: which team they support and how much you want to spend. We've put together 25 gift ideas for football fans, organised by budget and by team, so you can quickly find something they'll love, whether it's for a child or for the dad who never misses a match.

How to choose a gift for a fan

Before you start, answer three questions. Which team? A gift from the wrong team is worse than no gift, so if you're not sure, ask discreetly. Do they wear it or collect it? Some want a shirt for the stadium, others prefer something for the shelf. What do they already have? If they already own this season's shirt, a retro shirt or a souvenir will be a nicer surprise.
