 The 2010/11 season is considered to be a historical season, as the club leadership was taken over by Vangelis Marinakis, after 17 years of leadership by Sokratis Kokkalis, the most successful president in the history of Olympiakos FC. This season is also marked by this new shirt, an extraordinary Puma designed kit, with a sewn club logo, and the Greece flag printed on the back of the neck!
Olof Mellberg (born in Gullspång, Sweden) is in his second season with the club. Although in his first season he managed three goals in 27 appearances, he is the 'rock' in the defense of the team.
